The Luxury Silk Duvet & Mattress Underlay
Use:
For the duvet, always use a removable duvet cover for protection from dirt and stain. The mattress underlay should always be used with the removable protector casing that comes with it.
The silk duvet & mattress underlay must never be shaken vigorously. Unlike other types of filling, silk filling does not move. The silk duvet only ever requires an airing or a very gentle shake to fluff it up after a period in storage.
Care & Cleaning:
Traditional method: Sun cure it by airing the silk duvet/mattress underlay in the sun twice a year, and for no longer than an hour each time. This has the effect of cleaning and purifying the silk floss, and under normal circumstances, no other cleaning will ever be required.
Localised spillages can be treated immediately by wiping the affected area with a clean white damp cloth. If spillage has penetrated to the silk floss, the affected area only may be delicately hand washed using luke warm water and a gentle detergent such as one used for washing woollens. Rinse using cold water. Excess water can be gently sponged off using a dry clean towel. It must be dried thoroughly and is recommended that the duvet be left to dry lying flat.
Do not machine wash, wring or tumble dry. In exceptional circumstances where the duvet/underlay requires complete cleaning, it may be professionally drycleaned.
Please Note:Silk filled Duvets are not suitable for use in circumstances where frequent complete cleaning is required.
The Luxury Silk Pillow
Use: A good quality pillow protector which complements the silk pillow is recommended to protect it from dirt and stain.
Care & Cleaning: Spot cleaning is permissible in the same manner as prescribed for Luxury silk duvet. Do not machine wash, wring or tumble dry. Dry Clean only.
The Luxury Silk Fleece Throw
Care & Cleaning: Occasional airing of the Luxury silk fleece has the effect of cleaning and purifying the silk pile. Spot cleaning is permissible in the same manner as prescribed for Luxury silk duvet.
Do not machine wash, wring, iron or tumble dry.
Dry Clean only.
